A native of the South, Elizabeth Alvarez is a violinist & violist and a music arranger & orchestrator. She received her bachelor’s degree with honors from Indiana University and later earned a master’s in music theory. An avid chamber musician, Elizabeth is co-founder of Two Left Hands and is the second violinist of the Miles Road Quartet. She also performs with the Atlanta Opera and other orchestras and chamber groups throughout the southeast. As Director of Chamber Music and the Associate Director of Orchestra at Lambert High School, she enjoys working with students to discover the joy of music. She keeps an active private studio, teaches music theory, and coaches chamber music. Elizabeth’s orchestration/arrangement work has earned her two Artist-in Residence appointments at Wildacres Retreat and a Fulton County Arts Council Fellowship. In addition, she is a Fellow at The Hambidge Center for Creative Arts and Sciences. She lives with her family in Cumming, GA.
